Join Our Team at LA Counseling – Shimonoseki, Japan Office
LA Counseling is expanding its team and is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist Interns (or Associates, depending on state licensing terminology) to join our Shimonoseki, Japan office. This is a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a culturally rich environment while working under the supervision of a highly experienced therapist.
Position: Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (Associate)
Location
- Shimonoseki, Japan
Interns will work part-time at our Shimonoseki office, with the flexibility to work remotely at other times.
Requirements
- Language Skills
- Japanese Fluency: Highly desired for treating Japanese-speaking clients.
- English-Only Candidates: Also considered, especially for treating English-speaking patients such as expatriates working in Japan.
- Commitment
Ability to work at least part-time in the Shimonoseki office, with remote work options available.
Supervision and Licensure:
Interns will receive clinical supervision from Dr. Miwa Hitsumoto, LMFT, who is licensed in California, Texas, and Nevada. This supervision will help interns accrue the necessary clinical hours required by licensing boards to qualify for state board licensing exams.
