In private practice since 2004, Dr. Hitsumoto has treated a wide range of psychological conditions, including trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, domestic violence, and interpersonal relationship issues. Before embarking on her career in clinical psychology, Dr. Hitsumoto gained a broad and varied perspective through her experiences both in Japan and the United States. As a foreign exchange student at a high school in Ohio, she was exposed to American culture early on, which deepened her understanding of cross-cultural dynamics. Later, she worked as a software engineer and marketing manager for large international corporations in Japan.
